How to Cancel a Candy AI Subscription
Log in, open My Profile, then Settings, scroll to the bottom and click Unsubscribe. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again. Cancelling never refunds anything by itself: a refund is a separate request to Candy support, with tight conditions.
Cancelling Candy AI takes under a minute and needs no email or phone call. What trips people up is everything around it: cancelling is not a refund, deleting the account is a different button, and Candy's own documents disagree about what happens to unused tokens. This page goes through all of it, quoting Candy's terms and help center.
Cancel Candy AI in five steps
These are the steps in Candy's help center article "How do I cancel my subscription?":
- Log in to your Candy.ai account.
- Open the My Profile menu.
- Click Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom, where your subscription details sit next to an Unsubscribe button.
- Click Unsubscribe and confirm any extra prompts.
The terms of service describe the same path ("Settings / Unsubscribe") and add that "your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged for the subsequent period." Candy has no native iPhone or Android app, so there is no app-store subscription to hunt for: you cancel in the browser, on phone or desktop. Take a screenshot of the confirmation; it is your proof if a charge appears later.
What happens after you cancel
| Item | After you cancel | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Premium access | Stays on until the end of the paid period, then the account reverts to free | Terms 10.1 and 10.2 |
| Next charge | None: "you will not be charged for the subsequent period" | Terms 10.1 |
| Monthly tokens | Premium adds 100 tokens a month on your renewal date; with no renewal, none are added | Help center |
| Unused tokens | Unclear: the terms and the help center disagree (below) | Both |
| Account, chats, images | Kept: cancelling "does NOT delete your account or your content" | Help center |
| Money already paid | Not refunded unless you ask separately and qualify | Help center |
Do you keep your tokens? Candy's documents disagree
This is the one point we cannot settle for you. Section 10.2 of Candy's terms of service says that at the end of the billing period "Any remaining tokens in your account will expire and become unusable", and that they "will not carry over or be refunded after your subscription ends."
Candy's help center article on cancelling says the opposite: "Canceling your subscription does NOT delete your tokens. Your current balance will stay on your account even when you return to our Free service, and you can use it again once you become a Premium subscriber." It also notes that your balance is not displayed while you are on the free plan.
The terms are the binding document, so plan as if unused tokens are lost. The safe move is to spend them before the period ends. In Candy Shorts, a typical series costs 36 tokens to finish, so one month of Premium tokens covers 2 typical series. Our unlock calculator shows what your balance can finish.
Cancelling is not a refund
Candy's help center is blunt: "Canceling your subscription does not automatically issue a refund." Cancelling stops future charges. A refund is a separate request that Candy support reviews by hand. The conditions, from section 10.4 of the terms and the help center:
- Time: "You have 24 hours after your payment to request a refund."
- Usage: a subscription refund "will be denied if you have used more than 20 tokens."
- Payment method: "We can only refund subscriptions that were purchased via card."
- Technical issues: no refund "in cases where there was a technical issue on the user's side."
To ask, email support@candymail.ai from the address on your account, and say clearly that you want a refund, not just a cancellation. The help center warns that cancelling inside the window "does not count as submitting a refund request". EU and UK residents get a separate withdrawal right under section 10.4.3 of the terms; it is written for people who live there, not for US residents.
Cancel vs delete your account
Cancelling keeps your account, chats and images. Deleting removes them. Candy's help center gives the path: My Profile, Settings, scroll to the "Danger Zone", then Delete Account. It says deleting an account before the renewal date "will automatically cancel any active subscription as well", and that some data is still kept for legally required periods. If you want both, cancel first, use or accept the loss of your tokens, then delete.
Other questions people hit
Can I pause instead?
No. Candy's help center says "Currently, it's not possible to pause your subscription." Cancel and subscribe again later.
Can I remove my card?
Not your only card while the subscription is active: the help center says "you must keep at least one payment method on file". Extra saved cards can be removed under Subscription, Payment Method. Note that the terms let Candy charge a saved backup card if a renewal charge on the main card fails.
Charged after cancelling or deleting?
Check that the charge reads "EverAI", the name Candy says it bills under, and compare the date with your renewal date: a charge before your cancellation took effect is normal. Otherwise email support@candymail.ai with your account email and the last four digits of the card, as Candy's help center asks.

FAQ
How do I cancel my Candy AI subscription?
Log in, open My Profile, click Settings, scroll to the bottom and click Unsubscribe, then confirm. Those are the steps in Candy's help center. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Does cancelling Candy AI give me a refund?
No. Candy's help center says cancelling "does not automatically issue a refund". You must email support@candymail.ai separately, and the terms only allow a request within 24 hours of payment, with no more than 20 tokens used.
Do I lose my tokens if I cancel Candy AI?
Candy's documents disagree. The terms (section 10.2) say remaining tokens "will expire and become unusable" at the end of the billing period. A help center article says cancelling "does NOT delete your tokens". Plan for the stricter rule and spend them before the period ends.
Can I pause my Candy AI subscription?
No. Candy's help center says pausing is not possible; you can cancel and subscribe again later.
Will Candy AI keep charging me after I delete my account?
It should not. Candy's help center says deleting the account before the renewal date automatically cancels the subscription. If you still see an "EverAI" charge, email support@candymail.ai with your account email and the last four digits of your card.
How do I cancel Candy AI on iPhone?
The same way as on desktop. Candy has no native iPhone app, so there is no App Store subscription: open candy.ai in Safari, log in, go to My Profile, Settings, Unsubscribe.
Is it hard to cancel Candy AI?
No. Candy's terms and help center both describe a self-serve Unsubscribe button in Settings, with no call or email needed. Only refunds need contact with support.
